Headstrong: Tips to Help you Stay Mentally Strong when Life gets Tough (Zoom)

What a year 2020 has turned out to be: a deadly pandemic, an economic crisis, our business models blown away, our revenue streams threatened, our social life shattered. And if that wasn’t enough, we were grieving the victims of a mass shooting and the deaths of military personnel from our region in two aviation accidents.

It’s been a period of relentless pressure and stress for CAPS members. Like so many Canadians we’ve been coping with the physical, financial and emotional toll of rebuilding lives and businesses in a world in constant upheaval where the headlines are relentlessly negative.

CAPS Atlantic is here to help. We have a mental health panel with experts from all four Atlantic provinces sharing advice on maintaining mental wellness in the face of the Covid 19 crisis.

Panelists will be:

Elizabeth Eldridge, a Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor (NB)
Paul White a Certified Canadian Counsellor specializing in Cognitive Therapy (NL)
Krista Walsh, President of CAPS Atlantic and owner and founder of Fusion Fitness (PE)
Steve Foran, the founder of Gratitude At Work (NS)

This discussion will focus on the issues that have been troubling you this year; issues about coping with stress, dealing with anxiety, the impact on personal relationships… there are so many mental health implications from such a prolonged period of profound change to our lives
