Has anyone alive today faced such challenging times? Covid-19. Climate change. Black Lives Matter. How do we make sense of these changing times?

Ian Hanomansing is at the very forefront of these issues. As the anchor of the CBC’s National News from Vancouver, he has a front row seat watching and reporting on these historic events.

He will sharing insights and thoughts from his side of the anchor desk to help us understand what’s going on in our world and how it affects us.

ABOUT IAN:

Ian Hanomansing grew up in Sackville NB, and got an undergrad degree in political science and sociology from Mount Allison University and a law degree from Dalhousie University.

He won six national university debating and public speaking championships. And he was the valedictorian when he graduated from Mount Allison.

He began his broadcast career in Amherst NS; then worked in Moncton before joining the CBC in Halifax in 1986. Apart from the small detail of having been born in Trinidad, Ian Hanomansing is an Atlantic Canadian.
